I do have some pictures of my outside that I'd like to share with you. We don't save our do-it-yourself skills for just inside. We've done a lot of work outside, too. Over the years, we have installed new windows, sided the house, built a garage, set up a pool, built a new side porch and pool deck, created a grilling area from stones we got for $30 at a masonry "yard sale", put in barn stone planters and poured a new driveway and colored, stamped patio! (My hubby has his own concrete business!) And, yes, we've done it all ourselves!! We feel a sense of pride whenever someone pays a compliment on our home because we've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it. And the best part is, we saved a lot of money doing it ourselves!!
The only major project left is to install a new roof. Hopefully, we'll do that this year. I'd also like to replace our front sidewalk sometime. I don't care for the pavers anymore. I'm tired of getting ants building nests, or whatever they're doing, in between the joints. I already have a color and stamp pattern picked out! ;)
Well, hopefully, it won't be so long before my next post. I NEED to snap out of this sluggishness!!! I have things to do, I just don't feel like doing them! NOT GOOD!!!
u have a beautiful yard, love that grilling & pool area!! Great work you and hubby have done!

Anyway, Your home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and it is so tastefully decorated and your grounds surrounding your home is so neat and perfect. Let me know when the next cookout is and I will be right over with a dessert and my towel... yep, I'll be with Char : )

After all that work outside, you deserve a slump Kris! It is all just gorgeous. I can only guess how hard you worked to make it all look so wonderful! Love the stone borders ad walls!! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful yard and home!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
What a beautiful home and yard you have Kris. Personally I wouldn't change a thing. I could sit out in your yard all day and never get tired. Well that is providing someone else is doing all the upkeep for me.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are down in the dumps. I too have been feeling the same way lately. I just don't have the desire to do anything these days. So much needs done but I just don't do it. We need to find something to motivate us and get our butts going. Sure hope its found soon.
Hugs,
AMY
absolutely beautiful~love it all!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris....just beautiful, beautiful...so neat, tidy and very pretty. I love the stone work. Now, your "gorgeous outside" should be in a magazine!
ReplyDeleteFriends,
Susannah
I love it all! What a beautiful place you have made for yourselves.
ReplyDeleteWe all get in those slumps sometimes - it will pass, I'm sure!
What a beautiful home! I love your gardens! Great blog too!
ReplyDeleteMakes me tired just reading the list of all you've done. All I can say is "you're hired!" I need a colored, stamped patio behind my house. Everything looks wonderful. It's nice that you have different levels. Our house was built on a cornfield so no levels here.
ReplyDeleteI think it's safe to say we've all been in a slump at one time or another. I think it's your body's way of telling you that you need a break. Just take things one day at a time and enjoy all that you've accomplished.
Take care ~ Tonya
